Why I Prefer to Eat Out…
it was a simple recipe. core the macintosh apple. fill with walnuts and craisins. drizzle with tablespoon of honey. bake at 350 for 20-30 min.
easy enough, right?
how mine ended up resembling the recently bulldozed McDonald’s on Queens Blvd. and 38th St., i have no idea.
it wasn’t entirely pulverized, and since mama’s a fan of applesauce and other such creamed veggies, it was nothing a hot mitt and a spoon couldn’t handle. but with the bounty of immediate-gratification eating options surrounding the urban dweller, especially in Sunnyside, i think i’d rather take my chances with the taco truck or Lebanese takeout than fuck with the seasonal fruits of Mother Nature.
