This Saturday (Sept. 13), the Roosevelt Court Association is making a balloon trail (how festive!) leading to their Neighborhood Sidewalk Sale, goin down on 47th and 48th Sts b/w Skillman and 39th Ave. (i.e. way the fuck over in Sunnyside Gardens) from 10am to 3pm.
Looks like they’ll be doin up a RAFFLE! with donations from some of Sunnyside’s finest (big ups to Stop ‘n Shop!!), and the refreshments stand Bake Sale had better be worth the freakin’ trip…
Ya gotta give the folks credit for organizing. Even if it’s lame enough to put a puppy to sleep, like Strawberry Fest ‘08. I’m sure they’ve learned hard lessons along the way…
Anyway, if you’re around this Saturday after catching the 7am Man. U-Liverpool game (our alarm clock is already set… eek), might as well stroll/stumble on down to the Gardens to check out their sidewalk sale and refreshments stand… all I’m sayin’: there better be brownies.
